Decided to remodel the bathroom in our lower level this past week (April 2005). We always knew it was necessary because the former home owners did a shit job of tiling and left alot of grout on the old 2" tiles. We also had some water stains leeching up the drywall from a humidifier mishap (set too high) and the rusted corner bead needed to be replaced. My wife and kids did the tile removal which was probably the hardest part. I pulled out the metal corner beads and replaced it with non-corrosive vinyl corners. I also needed to patch some rotted drywall corners. The tile shop was not helpful during this project. We had marked all of the tiles that needed to be cut and  dropped them off at the tile shop on a Friday. They sat there all weekend! We decided to get a head start on the paint, and my wife painted the bathroom before the tiles were completely set.
New closet flange and fresh caulking were also necessary. Some of these pictures are before and during the remodel. The others are after.
